Around Decorah, Iowa there is a live camera on a nest of eagle eggs. I tried to embed this on my blog so I can keep up with the progress. My students are quite interested in this unique process. I have researched a little about them, here is what I have learned...
*eagles lay 1-3 eggs per year
*males and females both incubate the eggs
*theses eggs will hatch around April 1st
*eagle nest are 5-9 feet in diameter
*Bald Eagles were endangered in the 1970's, moved to the threatened list in the 90's, and were removed from the list in 2004
*there were over 9,000 viewers watching the nest today
AMAZING!
Where the sun rises from the east, smiles are plentiful, and we share laughter and love.

The eagles are somewhat addicting aren't they? DT
Les, one question how do you tell the male from the female?
While in FL Bev O watched the eagles every day and gave us an update! I was sure amazed to find them on your blog - you are sure improving your culture! Love, MOM
I have been watching this eagle all day!! There is now a hole in one of the eggs and I keep thinking I hear little chirps when I walk away from the computer! Very cool and exciting to watch! -Jackie
