This is a picture of 2 brooms standing side by side in our kitchen. This is when the Sun and the Earth are in perfect line. This happens in the Spring and Fall, around the first of Spring and first of Fall. This lasts for about 2 days. This also means that the days and nights are close to the same length (think about it... the Sun comes up about 6:30 a.m., and it sets about 6:30 p.m.) This is what caught the eyes of the students as a broom stood in the middle of the hallway at school for the last hour of the day. This is why teaching science is so fun! This is awesome to see. This is the Spring Equinox.
Where the sun rises from the east, smiles are plentiful, and we share laughter and love.

Too funny! Yesterday Dex spent the day standing any and all brooms up around the farm(house, garage, shop)....I must say it is quite amazing.
You are such a good teacher! Your kids will never forget such things. Glad days are getting longer, Love, MOM
